Open .eml and .msg email files from Google Drive
Read a saved email with one click, with no mail program and no Outlook. The file goes straight from Google to your browser, or stays on your computer. It never passes through a server of ours, because there is none.

Open it from Google Drive

Connected. In Google Drive, right-click a .eml or .msg file and choose Open with → EML & MSG Viewer.
What it does
- Subject, sender, recipients and date, and the message as HTML or plain text
- Reads .eml files and Outlook .msg files, with no Outlook
- Images inside the message are shown; attachments are listed, and each can be saved
- A message attached to a message opens here too
- Private by design: remote images are never loaded, so the sender cannot tell you opened the message
- Safe by design: scripts in a message do not run and forms do not work. Links open only when you click them, in a new tab, and do not tell the site where you came from
Pro: print or save as PDF
Print the whole message or save it as a PDF, with the sender, recipients, date and attachment names on top, through your browser's own print dialog. Nothing is uploaded. $14.99, one-time.
Good to know
- Remote images stay blocked: there is no button to load them.
- Encrypted mail (S/MIME, PGP) cannot be read here. Its protected content is listed as an attachment.
- winmail.dat attachments are listed and can be saved, but are not unpacked. Mailbox files (.mbox, .pst) do not open.
- A message attached inside a .msg opens here, but cannot be saved as its own file.
- Files up to 150 MB, because a larger one can run your browser out of memory.
